The rectangular tray finely and profusely decorated to show Thuluth script, intertwined scrolls, geometric bands and delicate hatching. The similarity in design particularly the hatching and script, indicates that it was possibly made en suite to the coffee pot also available for sale. Both were acquired from the same private American collection.
